About

Hi, I’m Nichole—and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I don’t just visit places… I experience them.

I’m a mom to two incredible boys who keep life busy, loud, and full of adventure. Everything I do, from traveling to writing reviews, is rooted in that real-life perspective—because I know what it’s like to juggle family, time, budgets, and still want to make meaningful memories. Whether it’s finding a hidden gem restaurant, navigating a packed festival, or discovering a spot that’s actually worth the hype, I’m doing it not just for me—but for families, women, and anyone who wants honest, real-world experiences.

Originally from Connecticut, I grew up with some pretty high standards—especially when it comes to food. A good slice of pizza isn’t just food where I’m from, it’s practically a personality trait. And trust me, I’ve spent plenty of time comparing slices across states trying to find anything that comes close. (Spoiler: it’s tough.) That same standard carries into everything I review. If something impresses me, it truly earned it.

Over the years, I’ve traveled extensively up and down the East Coast of the United States, experiencing everything from quiet coastal towns to busy tourist hotspots. I’ve walked through charming downtown streets, explored waterfront views, stopped at roadside food spots, and chased sunsets in places that don’t always make it onto the “top 10” lists—but absolutely should. Travel, for me, isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about finding the places that leave an impression.

I have a deep love for seafood, which probably comes from both my New England roots and my time spent exploring coastal destinations. From lobster rolls to fresh catch dinners, I’m always on the hunt for quality, flavor, and authenticity. But my interests don’t stop at restaurants—I’m just as happy wandering through a local craft show, browsing handmade goods, or spending the day at a lively festival. There’s something special about those environments—the energy, the creativity, the sense of community—and I make it a point to seek them out wherever I go.

Beyond this website, I’ve built and managed multiple content platforms, including Penny Problem Solved and Living With the Littles. Through these pages, I’ve shared everything from everyday life hacks and family-focused content to budget-friendly finds and real-life experiences. That foundation is what shaped how I approach reviews today—practical, honest, and always from a place of lived experience.

I also review products—and I don’t sugarcoat it. If something is worth your money, I’ll tell you why. If it’s overhyped, poorly made, or just doesn’t deliver, I’ll tell you that too. My goal has always been to give the raw truth, not a filtered version of it. There’s enough noise online already—I want to be a place where people can come for real opinions they can trust.

This website is a reflection of all of that. It’s not just reviews—it’s my personal take on places, experiences, food, and products that stood out (for better or worse). I share the good, the disappointing, and everything in between, because I believe honest experiences matter more than polished ones. If I loved something, you’ll know exactly why. If I didn’t, I won’t hold back.

At the end of the day, I’m just a mom who loves to explore, eat well, and find the kind of places you want to go back to twice—sometimes even in the same trip. If you’re looking for real reviews, genuine experiences, and a little bit of personality along the way, you’re in the right place.
